Default Ignition question

I have a 97 fatboy with the screamin eagle ignition. I just rebuilt the complete engine with new rod assembly, bearings, pistons, rings, seals and gaskets and noticed the pick up in the nose cone for the ignition was leaking a liquid from it. The question is can I replace it with a stock pick up or do i need to replace the entire ignition box and pick up. I heard it comes as a matched set. Thanks for any help.

If what you have is a SE ignition module, then you should also have the original pickup in the cone. Just replace that with another OEM one.

I don't have my manual handy at the moment but keep in mind it doesn't take a whole lot of torque to distort the cup bolt surface so double check the torque spec. Touch of blue lock tite goes a long way.
