ignition question
Just installed a screamin eagle ignition module 32750-99 on my 01 fxdx. Starred her up and got a check engine light. Bike will also not stay running. Thought this was the correct one. Any thoughts???

When I bought my '03 Low Rider it had a Screaming Eagle Ignition Module on it. Replacing it with the stock Ignition Module fixed all sorts of idling problems I had. The problems I experienced were due to the way these High Performance Ignition Modules handle the Spark Advance curve. The Spark Advance curve for the Screaming Eagle Module is designed for a highly, and I do mean HIGHLY modified engine . . . as in modified for the race track. The result is that they're not real pleasant otherwise.
Your Check Engine Light is because the module you are using is looking for an Input that your bike doesn't have. You might try Googling the Part Number and see if you can find a pdf copy of the installation instructions, a wiring diagram or an application guide.
