screaming eagle ignition

I have a 2001 Road King and installed a Screaming Eagle ignition module. Two things have happened since I did that. The engine seems to start differently, like the starter is not turning the motor over as strong and the check engine light will not go out. Had it a Harley dealer in SC and they said to live with it as they could not reset it. does the SE ignition have different timing than a stock module?

I don't know but I think your problem with the check engine light is due to the resistance that the ECM is measureing through the ignition (coils, wires and plugs) the Screamin Eagle ignition coils are probably a different ohmage than the stock coils, but like I said I am not really sure BUT all of this could be found somewhere here on the WWW, just at the currect time I am at work and can't devote the time into the research.
