Default 3 hole windshield trim

So I'd like to change the windshield crome trim on my 89 flhtp, I'm haveing a hard time locating one, there seems to be alot for the 3 hole trims but not the 5 hole trim ( newer ) , anyone seen the 3 hole trim available? Was also wandering if the 3 hole trim lines up with the bolt holes for the 5 hole setup less the extra 2 holes of course? Also if it lines up have you drilled out the other two holes?

The 3 hole trim (latest design) will work on your 5 hole system (older design). I've done a couple of them with my bike. I have a 3 hole trim now!
Put the 2 inside screws in first, then the 3 holes last. They can be a little pita, however no big deal. I think I ran my drill thru the outside holes to align them.
Don't drill the new trim, the 2 screw heads will be under the trim and look better.

Also the 3 hole windshields will work too. I have several of them modified. Just cut the bottom edge straight like your old shield and drill the other 2 holes after you get the ouside ones tight with just bolts to align/no trim yet. Then install the 2 newly drilled holes and remove your temp holding screws and install the trim and the other 3 screws..

Perfect Thankyou, I just wanted to hear that it has been done before I spend the cash. Off to shop for 3 hole trim.
