Cool White Walls

What is the best way to clean white-wall tires?
Also, is there some way to re-whiten them if they are a bit yellowish?
Cheers.
TC.

There are lots of products and a lot of opinions on cleaning white walls. Do a search on the forums and see what you can find. Here is one link that has several ideas....

I use good old fashioned Comet. There are 100 other ways to clean them. I tried using magic erasers but didn't care for it. They fell apart too easily.

Wesleys tire bleach and a green scrub sponge. It will take less than a minute and will bring back the most yellow white wall to new.

cheapest and easiest thing is SOS pads.We were using those back in the 60's &70's before they had much of anything out there. 1 pad will do both tires a couple times, just put it in a plastic baggie and you can reuse it again, especilly the larger size pads.Even makes your black tire look good.We even used them on the old "redline" tires. It'll help on the yellowish cause it's got that scrubbing, steelwoolish kind of material. In the summer you can take a little paint thinner on a rag and get rid of road tar too.
