I have a 98 fatboy and had to put a new ignition module in it. It ran fine for about 2 weeks and this morning will not start. Turns over but will not start. I held a screw driver near spark plugs and coil wires and there is no spark. It has new coil, se wires and new plugs. Also has new cam sensor...all were put in about two weeks ago. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
Do you have your old parts?
I'd start be eliminating components.
Try the old module, coil, etc.
You may have just a bad module...
Let us know how it turns out...
I just tried that but no luck. Weird that it started a few days ago but yesterday I lifted the dash to clean under it and now it won't start. Turns over until the battery is about dead but won't start. I took the dash off to make sure I didn't pull something apart but it looks all there. Flooded now so I have to let it sit. I took the spark plugs out and they are black and a little wet with gas.
Check the wires well on the six connections. USE CAUTION so you do not short. Give them a tug to make sure that they are indeed fastened to the switch.
I stand corrected.
You have the three wire connector at the switch. Check your ignition circuit breaker. Look for the one with the gray wire that will be the ignition circuit breaker. Take a test light and insure that its passing power.

The red/black wire from the ignition switch should be twelve volts. This wire feeds the voltage to three circuit breakers. Look for the circuit breaker with the gray wire connected to it. Thats the ignition .
