"Do not drill the slide, cut or put a lighter spring for the street with a heavy bike like yours."
Not to Hijack but I've never replaced the spring or drilled the slide and I'm happy with the results I've had from CV's. That being said, in your opinion, when would replacing that spring or drilling the slide be a good idea? thanks,
Light bike, lower gears, more aggressive riding style with a modifided engine, or for racing. Other than that the small HP/Torque gains are more than offset by the loss of rideability. Hope this helps.
ended up leaving it alone. 48 jet, 3 turns out on the air/fuel screw. topped it off with some 93 octane fuel and rode her awhile. seems to run good like this. might tweek the air / fuel screw a 1/4 turn more and see but dont want to ruin my luck. can imagine i need a larger jet than the 48. thanks for the advise !!
