Default Gass Tanks

I just put 5 gallon gass tanks on my 95 FLSTC and then I discovered that my memphis shades windshield won't fit any more. (It hitts the tanks)
Does anyone know of a windshield that will fit?

I already thought of that but unfortunately it won't work. I have a thought about making some brackets that I am gonna run by a welder and see if it will work.

The problem lies on the locking mechanism of the windshield.

Sounds like you have the newer style trigger lock mounts? What about a set of the older style that uses the socket head bolts and posts?

I am not familiar with those. I just tried to google it and got nowhere. Do you know where I can find some? Going to a swapmeet on saturday and I will look there.

Contact Memphis Shades and see if they have the hardware you need.

talk to memphis r/d guy in the back. have him put in the order for the parts you need(old style) not the chick that answers the phone. every time I've needed something from them and ordered it from the chick, she sends out the wrong thing even when given the correct part number. the guys in back are great to deal with. memphis has some of the best customer service I've ever seen in a company.

Just called Memphis Shades and asked to speak to a tech and the lady said that she was a tech so I told her my problem and the only solution she had was to look through their entire PDF instructions (some without pictures so no help there). She also told me that all they had was the trigger locks. Oh well I will have to try something else.

Post up a picture of the brackets and the clearance youre dealing with and we'll help you find a solution. When I got my Memphis Shades fairing I didnt like the way it fit and made up some different brackets for it using some aluminum and spacers. If we can see the problem you'll get some good advice.
