Default Windshield

I'm new to the Harley Family. I just bought a 2003 FLSTC and need advice on a windshield. The previous owner put a nacelle on the front and a stock softail windshield won't fit. The mounts are right but the shield hits the headlight..What are my options? I tried a Road King shield but the mounts aren't correct....

Thanks,
Kurt

If you have some skills, patience and dremel or other fine cutting tool, you can trim the windshield. If it isn't a lot you might be able to do it by hand with some sandpaper, but again it takes some skill and patience. Measure twice, cut once and remember you can take more off, but you can't put it back on. The windshield is made of polycarbonate and it is not gonna crack, but you can sure scratch it up. Mask it off before you start marking and trimming. Good luck.

Or you can buy a new windshield. Either one of these will fit.

If you already have the stock windshield just cut it to fit, Its not hard just take your time.

I've cut my shield down twice, Several threads in here on how..

If U do, just be careful on U layout and sneak up on it, also make sure U tape off area real good to prevent scratching the shield.

I used a Roto-zip. cuts the sheid like butter..

Others use saber saw.

If you do get a new one, take a look at the Flair windshield by Klock Werks. My buddy has one and says it's the bees knees.
