I have a 1989 FLHS that I'm putting a fairing from a FLHTCU on. I am having trouble getting the Ignition Switch back on. I put everything back together, but can't get the switch to latch back in. I'm pulling on the Ignition Switch pin, but nothing seems to work. Any words of wisdom out there?

 

Sounds like you need the tool to re-align things. I don't do them often enough, so I always have the manual handy and follow the instrustions to the letter. Hope tis helps.

 

I do not see anything to re-align. I know that is the fix for a latter model, but do you think that's the fix for a '89?
