First Sturgis for me as well this year, an old friend lives in Spearfish and is letting us stay at his place. We intend to hit main street once and from then on ride, we are leaving out of Wa. state on two lanes hitting both Lolo and Beartooth passes, lol, been riding Harleys since the early 80's and this is my first Sturgis trip.... getting to damned old to have another cherry popped !!!!!
Have a great trip to all that are going!
Do "good and strong" and "tent" go together??? lol! I riding my RK to Sturgis for the first time also! Staying at Glencoe and hoping to have a great time!! See y'all on the 1st of August!!! Whoop! Ride safe everyone!
If you don't get one at walmart and spend a couple hundred you can get a decent tent . My 1st Sturgis was with the usual cheap crap we bought that young , lets same my second trip I had the right gear wasn't going through that again . Water proof 4 man I can almost stand in and a 10" air mattress we played cards through a hail storm and 2" of water running by the tent nice warm and dry .
I had the most fun in Deadwood. Gota go to the #10 Saloon. The best, night time local bands at the Deadwood Tobacco Co. Cigar bar,get there early so you get a seat on the couch. Go see Crazy Horse first, then Rushmoore. Stone House Bar in Belle Fourche.
Don't drink and ride, or then plan on staying another two three weeks by the time they get through everyones court date.
my white bike and i will be there also,
Staying in a house in Belle Fourche. mostly wakin up early and ridin to all of the places already listed by others. I am picking one day to go to full throttle for midget wrestling, Burnouts, Paul Yaffee bagger build, and the one and only TED NUGENT.
