Well this is the 6th hope ya got it under control by now. If not I saw this done once awhile back. Load bike on trailer and haul it to the machine shop. The guy drilled and installed time serts without even taking the bike off the trailer. I installed time serts on sand rail engine (VW) cases back in the 70`s Best of luck WP

Well my timesert kit is in at the post office. Unfortunately I have to work 16's and 12's the next three days and wont have any time to work on it until Thursday. I will be sure to keep you all posted.
The manual contradicts itself. One paragraph says install the studs with the collars or shoulders up and two other places say collars down. Collars down makes more sense to me, but which should I choose?

After a 7 hour marathon wrench-fest, SHE LIVES! Not only does she live, but she runs quieter, smoother and stronger than ever. I will be definately sticking to the warm up from now on.
I checked out my original exhaust and it was actually solid except for the odd patch at the front of the right muffler. An automotive muffler clamp fixed the previous patch, so I see no reason to replace it right now.
After two weeks of watching other bikes out riding in the sunshine, it feels pretty good to have mine back together!
Great news. I just finished stripping mine down and gave it to the painter. I'll be on holidays in Italy watching the bikes go by for two weeks, who knows maybe we'll rent a Vespa.
