Default paint headers black or go chrome

my bike needs new headers! Should I just paint em black or buy chrome for the bike?

Exhaust header wrap looks a whole lot better than painting them black. It actually helps performance a bit also.

. . . I see a header and I want to paint it black . . .

I never thought of wrapping them. That might work but I think I might try and paint em first....that will cost minimal

I painted the tips of mine black and wrapped the rest. Although I did the quick redneck job and now I am going to cut the tips off and wrap all the way to the end. But I still love this set up better than chrome. Take a look in my gallery.

I hope you used at least 2000 degree high temp paint. If not they will get chalky fast.

If you hit them with the high temp primer then paint it will last a while.
