1984 FLHTP Help

I just bought a 1984 FLHTP Electra-Glide and i cannot seem to find an inner fairing -will any other year bolt up . and also i want to loose the dirtbike looking gas tank and switch to a more newer look any help will be appreciated.

That bike didn't come with an inner fairing, which is why you can't find one.

Others have replaced the tank with more modern FLHT tanks. Expect to change up the seat, at a minimum.

Took me awile but I fond in inner fairing on eBay they where dealer installed back then and not like the newer ones at all

Never saw a fairing like that, pr. That's cool and a good find.

I agree that the tank grows on you. After 25 years, I like it.

It was black when I got it sanded and painted to color match to look a little better least I think

There's a thread here somewhere that has all the pics I tick along the way

Just curious, what bars are those? I want some maybe an inch or two shorter but they look great! Love the inner fairing and YES I agree, the tank grows on you after a while. Dont think I would ever change it, has character.
