If the plugs are pig rich, put a engine temperature sensor in for $70 when the tank is off for fuel lines, you won't be sorry. I have a good sensor, fuel lines, red injectors and a 97 ECM if you can't score a package deal on Ebay, let me know and not posting to promote selling my parts, just helping if needed. The red injectors can only be used with a tuning device installed like a PC3 with the 97-98 ECM
One little note, those fuel lines can still have pressure on them when removing them so be careful, they have sealing orings at the tank if you pull them out and the oring stays in the tank.
Yeah I would like to get my hands on your parts. I dont know how to message people on this so just call or text me and we can set this up. Its really bugging me that i have a bike in my garage that i cant ride. 708-710-0267
Do you know how to pull codes? And have you contacted a dealer that my still have a "scanalizer" for MM injection?
I've got nothing against buying parts, but only after exhausting any and all research you can try.
My 2000 with MM injection is just past 98,000 miles and takes me to a from work all year round. Hasn't needed a part yet!
I do not know how to pull codes, but the engine check light is not on. Do they throw codes when the light isn't on? From what i have gathered, they way to scan is through using a breakout box to see what the proper voltage is. Im going to get a shop manual next friday when the stealer has a 20% off sale. I really feel like gas lines and that ETS should get it pretty close to good ( plus bagger1997 or whatever, has all the parts). As of now I don't even feel comfortable riding it to the dealer for them to scan.

It's been 10 years since the last MM EFI system rolled out. Many HD technicians don't have a clue about the old system. The ones that did know about the system have or are about to retire. So, if you find a dealer that knows this system....you're lucky.
The check engine light comes on and stays on if there is a fault. The light will not pickup everything though....like something being out of adjustment and most of the time, a bad ETS will not even throw a code. However, it is a step in the right direction....
I have the 1998 and 2001 Touring factory shop manuals. Same system, but what gets different are the adjustment procedures. This leads me to believe HD never really figured out nor worked all the bugs out of the system. But, I can say that parts of it improved the last year. For example, the fuel pump wires can easily come detached on the 1995-1999 models when taking seat on/off. The 2000-2001 fuel pump wires end at a connector and connect at the tank console...never coming detached. This can actually retrofit to older models and is easy to do. There were other items as well....anyways, the last were the best.
This is my first Harley and I do not know to much about it. The bike idles somewhat low and when you try to rev it, it will sputter and stumble. Once it is done with this it revs fine. When driving, Once it gets over the stumble, the bike rips. The Previous Owner replaced the injector wiring harness and the fuel pressure regulator.
Possible problems:
1)He said it might be bad fuel lines(they were leaking so he tired to seal it with jb weld so they need replaced anyways).
2)Clogged injector because the bike hasn't been ridden in two years
3)An in tank fuel line that i have read about that gets tiny pin holes
I was wondering if anyone can confirm these as possible problems or lead me in the right direction. The bike is stock except for vance hines exhaust. Any help would be awesome, even if you make fun of me...
After market fuel lines are braided steel and below is the maker and product number. NOTE: do a google search since price goes from about $134 to $170 for BOTH INCLUDED TOTAL delivered for BOTH lines..So it is half the cost of the harley lines.. Bad fuel lines can cause all kinds of trouble and a bike with that many years would probably require a refresh if original.

The harley shop by my house in Joliet is huge, someone has to know something.
Ask yourself "what sensor is the main control of injector pulse width" the sensor in question alters the ECM map thru detected engine heat and decreases pulse width as the engine heats up, out of range and it incorrectly alters fuel and not always turning the check engine light on, it will eventually turn a light on for a ETS but when can't be determined, a characteristic of M&M efi.
To keep a Stealer from dry humping a Evo member in diagnostics, I'll let a known good ETS and 2 external fuel lines go for $65.00 plus shipping.
