Once I set the wiring up with the right plugs, I could change it back and forth in about an hour......maybe less.
If I were to reconvert mine again, this is what I would do, rather than scabbing together old connectors. Summit racing has weatherproof connector kits, male and female, for anywhere from 50-90 bucks, and 3 diffrent brands I believe. I bought a used harness off evilbay for 50, and only used a small ammount of the connectors in it. People have wildly varying opinions on soldered joints on bikes and hotrods. i personally dont have a problem with them, especially done right with shrink tubing. i would make up my own connectors this time, simply to save wated time trying to get the male or female ends, of which harley uses 3 diffrent types.

Changed the wiring over to Molex connectors. Still waiting for all of them to come in.
Picked up the other fairing lower, still need a left glovebox though. I have repainted the fairing and lower with Duplicolor gloss black enamel. 3 coats of paint and followed by 3 coats of matching clear coat. Doesnt look half bad....will hit it with 1000 grit wet/dry and the polish them, should be pretty close to the HD black and clairity I hope. Replace my beat to hell front fender with a 09 take off too.
The tour pack is still blue/silver, and I have to build the mounts to put it on the quick release mount. It's an 09 TP so the older mount bar doesnt line up and I dont want to drill any new holes in the TP.

Just curious, where did you find the QR mounts? Can you still get them new?
