Hold on chaps, Harley 10 bobbin discs are similar in price to those 5 bobbin Zodiac.
I was under the impression that the harley ones were 6 bobbin, but having just checked they are indeed 10
Part number is 44357-00A
My mate has one these on his nightrain and says they are great, must admit if i knew they were 10 bobbin i would have probably gone for them, that being said i am more than happy with the Zodiac ones.
Sorry Bungo, the photo I posted at posting #14 in this thread (this is #23), my swish new rear wheel and brake disc.
Hi Graham, got it.! Yes Rotor looks great. Might go for the 10 bobbin Harley floating Rotors.
I know the ones with less bobbins will probably be as good but I like the well designed & engineered look of yours.
My next question my need to be asked on a new post. I am not sure of the order of things on HD Forums with regard to Questions within existing posts or threads. If any problem re. this please let me know and I will make a new post?
Question....on my 91 Ultra with approx. 65,000.miles showing.
Assuming that it hasnt been changed....When do you think the rear Drive Pulley (belt) should be renewed? Bungo

Hi Neil,Thanks for response & Harley part no. Might just go for the Stainless 10 bobbin Harley discs, depending on price. Bungo

That's a difficult one! I'm on my second replacement, one because of belt damage. These things have been reported as doing in excess of 100k miles, so they can last a considerable time. The rear pulley will wear over time, as well as the belt suffer wear, so eventually both pulleys and belt will require replacement. That is bloomin expensive and involves removing the entire primary drive to do.
Inspect the belt for damage and signs of wear on the teeth, also signs of ageing of the body of the belt. If it is original it is over 20 years old, quite obviously, so is entitled to be showing signs of age as much as wear.
Just a thought on the discs, i take it your still running the stock front wheel (3/4" axle) as i am not sure if harley make them for the older wheels and i know the newer ones dont fit without some modification.

I think it may be time to change pulley, just to be sure especially due to age & mileage of my Ultra.
I have changed the Belt already (18 months ago)as the old one snapped.
After buying the new belt at Ł180.00, I decided that I wasnt going to pay the local HD shop for wrenching the job (Ł300-Ł400.) and went ahead myself. It wasnt easy due to having to remove Inner & Outer cases and all the other parts that have to be removed to get in there.
Anway I fixed it and replaced the inner Clutch bearing at the same time.
Not sayin I could do the work again with my eyes closed but it wouldnt hold any terrors for me,especially when thinkin of the money I saved. Bungo

Hi Neil,Yes front wheel is stock. Will have to check re. the discs fitting my older wheels.
