If you are not getting any popping or coughing then anything you try should be in moderation or small increments because you are real close to being where you want to be. If the thumb screws you mentioned are what you used for lollypops then that is the first thing you should try.
Just currious, why did you go for drags, they are often really tough to get a good tune. How is your performance, down low and up high? I ran drags for quite awhile and with different setups, they were not all that great around town but on the open road they just "sang"..
