Two places that come to mind are: http://www.olddude.com/about.htm http://www.tomsnosparts.com/
I have purchased from Old Dude. They are stand-up people.
Tom's place used to be called NOS Parts but they went out of business and then reappeared as Tom's NOS Parts. I did business with them as NOS Parts and they were very good as well but I have not purchased from them since the change.
DO NOT use Zodiac out of Bangkok. The prices are cheap and have a professional looking site. I ordered an inner primary and after a month they still hadn't shipped and would not communicate with me. I had to dispute it through paypal to get my money back.
Hi i found that in Canada you can trust http://www.heritagecycleworks.com/
I have ordered from them and have always had good luck, Wayne always is a big help
I'm finding I have to order stuff from catalogs a lot. If I don't the dealer does, so not much difference. They are just not keeping up on old stock stuff, but I can understand that, it would cost a major fortune to have it in stock and have someone come in once in awhile and ask for a thing a bob for a 93!! Although its just almost like going to into Pep Boys or Kragen and asking for a waterpump for a 68 Barracuda!!! UHHH my computer doesn't go back that far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take what the dealership parts guy tells you about the status of parts with a grain of salt. Some of those guys are boneheads. Obsolete to them might mean that they just don't have it in stock. I gave a parts guy a p/n to look up for availability and all he told me was "that p/n has been superceded". No rest of the story, no new p/n, just a deer in the headlights look at me.
I found what I needed online. I don't know what the parts situation is for EVOs, but I can tell you that I don't have trouble getting just about anything for my ironhead or shovel. Might not be geniune HD, but it keeps me rolling.
