I've got a 95 EG Ultra. The stock 2up seat has been replaced with a Badlander "stinger" style solo seat. Now the wifey has taken an interest. I took the tour pack off and lowered my bike (like a modern day Street Glide). The stock 2up seat fastens into the tour pack rack, which I no longer have, thus leaving a 3 inch gap between seat mount and fender. Finding a new or used pre 1997 seat is a pain. She will maybe ride 5 times this summer (we have 2 younguns) so me dropping $4 bills plus on a seat seems ridiculous. Any suggestions?? Anyone convert a 1997 up seat to fit a pre 1997 bike?? Just curious...any input is appreciated! Thanks.
There should be a hole in the fender that you can go to your dearel and get the "nut" that goes into the fender. Then go to lowes and get a nylon spacer and proper length stainless steel allen bolt. I will attach a few pictures.
nylon spacer worked on my 95 stock seat.
then i went for a 01 road king classic seat you just cut the front tab at the bend and put some rubber over it and it lines up perfect with the fender hole and sits flush on the fender, oh and you need a console extension as the seat is shorter up the tank
