Can anyone suggest a good place to purchase a used speedometer for my 1996 Fatboy?

Check the local established Indy as well, we have one near me that has a box of them with low km's that were take off's for upgrades.

 

There's a bunch of them on eBay. I like the Dakota Digital one myself, but it's spendy.

 

You may wish to take alook at the back of your speedometer.
Does it have the LCD odometer or the old school wheeled numbers.
Reason: earlier speedometers with the LCD=liquid crystal display are different from the newer ones that are all over EBAY and if you use a newer one then it requires an adapter.
If you have the wheeled numbers please disregard.

 

Whats wrong with yours.
Mine is working intermittently. anyone have a clue on how I should debug this?
96 fatboy, wth LCD odometer. Factory speedometer dial.
Normally works for the first 1/4 mile, then bounces, then nothing works.

 

Consider review of speedometer sensor, remove, clean and re-install. Sometimes particles attach to sensor other times the sensor dies.
