I have an 86 FLHTC Electra Glide Classic I just purchased the engine was just rebuilt and it runs great but the radio is dead. The turn signals quit the first time I drove it, I replaced the flasher unit ($20 from the Harley dealer must have gold inside) and they work but it's not a steady flash it's real inconsistant both right and left. The 4 way flashers work fine like I would expect. Is this normal or do I have a short in the system?

you have a short in the system....possibly bad ground
