Default My $4700 softail

I picked up a well used 93 softail last Oct. It had bare tanks an mismatched tins on it to get it home but it ran great. I sold the 2into1 off it an tanks, picked up some used HD tanks an had them painted. Picked up those bassani pipes off ebay for $50, the deuce wheel an sport bike 170 tire off ebay, used one inch belt an pulley off ebay an just finished it.

I have some nicer mirrors for it an a 21" front wheel an skinny fiberglass fender for the front when I get a tire. I'll sell the wheels that came on it an knock my bottom line down a little more

Nice bike! Is the 1" belt and rear pulley all it takes to fit a bigger tire on the rear? It looks like mine will only fit a 140 now.

It wasn't too bad. Getting the spacing right was a bitch. The pulley I got has a flat backing plate, no offset, so I had to get a spacer to move it away from the wheel so the belt wouldn't rub the tire. I have it spaced offset 1/4" to the brake side but after riding it an everything settling in it looks like I can center it if I want.

So short answer is yes, a 1" belt an pulley will get a 170 in. I chose 170 because that was the max for the 4.5" deuce wheel. I had to put the wheel in without the rotor bolted on. Get the caliber in the wheel, line up the holes an slide the rotor in, then slide the axle in. A rear caliber where the caliber unbolts from the bracket would make life a lot easier.

A bit of a pain but doable. My caliper unbolts from the bracket too. I'm not sure what the max size is for my fatboy wheel is either but even a 150 or 160 would be nice. How much did you have to give for the pulley and belt? You didn't have to do anything to the front pulley?
