G'day Bubba.
Funny I find it the other way. My 35 year old Softie usually gets more attention than the latest offering.
Cheers

I don't hate Harley, I'll probably go to the grave owning the three bikes I have now, it doesn't matter to me what they do.
As for as the dealers,
I don't mind dropping in on a dealer on Saturday or a bike night and eat and drink their beer and look at all the bikes I'm not going to buy.
I also like looking through the large window to the shop at all the service bays my bikes will never see.

But really, one local dealer has nice monthly Thursday night bike nights with food and beer and sometimes entertainment, it'll even be inside if it's hot out
I'll usually hit the parts dept & pick up some pigspit or oil filter or something,
see, I'm not a total mooch.

Heard you made them order in a non chrome oil filter tho.

Love my FLT Shovel, hate some Harley owners, not the bikes

I was half kidding when I posted that. There is one particular lady who works at a local dealership that comments on my bike each time I go there, matter of fact I was in there last Spring and they had my bikes twin sitting in the show room so she asked me if I wanted to take it out for a spin just for ***** and giggles.

I didn't take her up on it as I was pressed for time that day, but it would have been an interesting experience. The bike was identical to mine except for the pipes. It had a set of Screaming Eagles and mine has V&Hs.

I sorta get this. I haven’t been to a Harley event now in like…. IDK… 15-20 years. Free beer mean Budlite or Shock Top… I kid you not you couldn’t pay me $10 to drink one… I’d rather get with my group of buddies and go to a couple Breweries, or to a bourbon tasting bar we like, I’d rather pay for a good steak, or at least a good piece of fish than eat a free hotdog at a dealer.

I like your post though, maybe I’m too yuppie or a snob.. a good grilled hotdog can be a really rewarding thing.. but I save that for a ball game or a Sons of Speed race.

Not this dealer, they promptly dropped Bud Light when they went woke, it was Coors light, Ultra, Miller, in cans, the food is better than average.
Bike nights start on 3-14, they also do something every Saturday.
This picture is from one of the bike nights last year, that’s a whole pig.

Looks pretty hospitable to me. I can see why you’d attend. It’s worth a non-chrome oil filter for sure.

Maybe we’re wasting our energy hating on Harley when we should be focusing our hate on bubble wrapped packaging and cable companies.. there’s always the Can-Am guys to hate on too. I mean seriously they bring it on themselves..

There’s a pancake resturant place that was recently changed over to a Can-Am dealership.. really not a lot changed except I hear entrance is in the rear now.
