So I ordered cometic gasket kit from Indy shop today. They were really trying to scare me out of leaving the piston in the jug. As long as I have a good compression and leak down test before and after I should be good to go right? Any specialty tools needed beyond socket set and torque wrenches? Any "I'll only use this tool for one thing on this bike" type tools?

Why not install 'The Oil Fix' from Hayden M6? http://www.haydensm6.com/tof_single.htm

Had it installed on mine six years ago and no leaks.

Thats the one regret I have with my Wide Glide top end that I did a few years ago.. Leaking again and needs to come back apart.. Loosing faith in the James gaskets..
