what is this?
I pulled out the engine from my 88 FXR and while I was inspecting it I saw this. Nothing was connected to it, and I can't seem to find it in the manual.

looks like the neutral light switch.

Strange I don't remember removing a wire from there, and my neutral light did work fine. I'll look into it

Just double checked on mine - and the majority respondents are indeed correct - neutral switch.

The trans vent tube should be on the primary side of the transmission rachet cover.
