Default Front stoplamp switch

Getting around to fixing somethings I let slide while working on other stuff on the bike. The front brake lever does not return all the way out after being applied. This keeps my stop lamp on until I use a finger to push the lever all the way out. Haven't found an adjustment on the M/cyl or switch. Had it apart while painting inner fairing. Read about damaging the switch while replacing a lever and used a piece of cardboard as described. Its done this since I first bought the bike and I lubed the lever and pivot points when I had it apart but it still would leave the stop lamp on. Hopeing for some suggestions as to what to look for when go after the problem again. Tonight I hope BG Thanks Have a good 1 WP

Make sure the throttle housing and master cylinder are pressed tight together. If they aren't the light will stay on. You may heve to loosen one or both to accomplish this. That is the only adjustment. If that doesn't work then you will probably have to rebuild the master cylinder.

I use a hydraulic brake light switch that I get from our local Dealer....no idea who makes them but they are way easier to fit than the stock switch and work a lot better as wear in the brake lever isn't an issue.

That might be a plan. Do you use this on the front brakes? Trying to figure out where it might go in the lines? Thanks WP
