You will not find a direct answer to this question for multiple reasons.
1. different Harleys sound different ie, Twincams do not sound like evos which dont sound like shovels...
2. All Harleys sound different, with different ticks, slaps, clanks etc.
3. An internet sound recording is probably not high enough quality to diagnose a specific noise. All we will hear is exhaust

If you think that there are noises with you bike that should not be there tell us what you ride, what is done to it (that you know of) and why you think it aint right.

Hope this helps

1 and 2 are good points so different engines need different recordings.

3 is not. No such thing as an "internet recording". There are plenty of high quality portable audio recording devices that can be produce excellent recordings at high sample rates. The pickups can be placed close to the engine and will definitely have more than just exhaust noise. The internet is just the medium used to transmit the file with the recording.

Mine is a 1340 EVO, 1989. The concern is a change in noise. In any other engine to me it says some sort of valve or lifter problem. But I read that a healthy Harley engine sounds like a sewing machine. That is a weird description, hence the query about recordings.

Well I did a YouTube video of mine From before I changed the carb and exhaust but I thought it sounded pretty healthy at the time, and actually still sounds healthy. It's in my signature.

I keep wondering why so many Harley drivers know what a sewing machine sounds like...

What are you trying to say? I think he may be implying that we all are seamstresses or something.
I know my way around a sewing machine pretty well. Oldest son of a widowed mother here. I had to learn to take care of myself and 4 younger siblings. And-
When you do you own upholstery, it sure save a ton of dough on MC seats.
