I would "lean" (ha-ha, a pun) to a carb issue. Dunno about your tick. Could be a lot of things there. What kind of carb does it have?

Never heard of a Fatso. Interesting idea.

Doesn't appear to be a fuel issue the plugs are covered in fuel and the spark is good when cranking

Too much fuel or too little fuel will both cause you problems.
