Stator isn't putting out enough juice on my 97 Wide Glide. So since I have to pull the primary cover to replace the rotor and stator. Is there anything else I need to check/replace while I have the primary cover off. The bike has 15k miles on it.
At 15K miles, if there are no leaks or noises, I'd maybe look at the chain tension shoe, change the stator if you are sure that is your problem, torgue everything down and call it a day.

Yep. What he said. Even the compensator should be good at 15k. If you are having NO problems with the clutch, leave it alone, put the stator in and ride

Yep thats kind of what im thinking. Im 90% sure the stator / rotor is the problem. When i unplug the wire to the regulator and probe the holes. It pulls 14.2 acv at 1000rpm when it should be 16 or better. With the bike running and at temperature its only showing 13.2 to the breaker and same to the battery. When i rev it up it rolls up to 13.7 either. Way the system is not puttig out what it should. So im going to replace / upgrade to a 3 phase system.
I agree....there isn't enough mileage for anything to be worn out yet. However, if you want a stronger pressure plate for handling more power later on, NOW is the time to do it.

Should be 20-30 volts AC at 2000 RPM. 13 +/- at idle isn't bad. Checkk at 2000 RPM
