i have a 92 and have never had a prob with it leaking around the rocker box as far as the wiring iv never had any trouble hooking anything up.i have both a evo and a twin cam. the evos do vibrate alot more then then twin cam.but imo you never have a better sounding bike then a evo

I've seen used EVO Softails going for as little as $4K...If you don't have plenty of experience with turning wrenches and a good assortment of hand tools, you'd be better off spending some more money for something needing less preparation!

Your best bet is to come with a maximum dollar value of what you are willing to spend and go from there.
