i have ghost brackets there for my saddle bags, but i looked at the rear bolt that attaches my luggage rack. im still thinking. thats part of the fun of it, trying to figure out where to mount something so it will be easy to use, or get to, have it mounted securely and look good. in fact after looking at it again i think it will work. as long as vibration wont cause any issues.
still trying to figure out the best place to mount it. thought the rear bolt on fender strut but that would block the turn signal light view from behind. he still has plenty of them and i should buy one at that price. any of you buy one from this seller ?
well i finally figured out how, and where, to mount it. figured i could use one of these clamps on one of the down tubes, i think it will work great. hey its got to work and look good, after all its going on a harley. now have to measure my frame and decide on black or chrome, leaning towards black.
ebay = Item number 270696904478. looks like hes sold a tone of them.

Hey hotrod, thanks for posting that link and for thinking out loud. I just ordered one. It looks like I can mount it to my fender strut right in front of either rear signal for much easier access
That's the kind I use. I turned mine out on my lathe with some aluminum I had and it works great. Actually I cut 2 slots in mine, 1 to hold a disk lock and the other to hold a lock for my coat or helmet.
looks like a great place for it PanHeadRich, my turn signals are more forward so it would block there line but the 1 1/8th clamp for the front down tube will work for me and be pretty easy to get to. as for a double, well this guys also selling a double for the same price.
