Default shocks

The air shocks on my 85 FLTC were replaced with progressive shocks before I bought it. Now the question is I'm not the tallest man in the world at 5'9" and the seat height is a little high. I was thinking of installing the Burly slammer shocks to bring it down. I know the ride will suffer some but I believe it would give me better control...What 's your opinions?

Be aware that lowering blocks are linked to the ends of the swingarm fracturing, because they put undue loads into the open end. Evo swingarms are not very strong, so I wouldn't personally fit them.

You can improve your reach to the ground by other ways, such as having your seat trimmed and recovered, to give your legs a short cut, also lowering your seated height. Another possibility is wearing thick soled boots.
