Are the older evo rims the same from touring to softail? I am looking at a set of rims and tires for my bike and found a deal on a set but it says 88-99 tapered bearing softail ....
Not going to be a direct bolt-in....front or rear. If you look at custom wheel sites...touring bikes take a different hub than softail bikes in the rear...some touring bikes of that era used a weird brake rotor on the rear... http://www.legendmcs.com/custom-chro...heels-new.html

The tapered bearings are correct for your bike, but otherwise the comments above apply. There is greater interchangeability with later ball race wheels.
edit, reread the op, all i can find is it says for wideglide fronts, so still not sure for touring bikes,
if the rotor widths are correct, should be able to make it work.
