Default adjustable pushrods

Finally finished installation of adjustable pushrods. It really takes two people to get it just right. The instructions I received did not give a requirement that the TDC be on the combustion cycle and you have to get it spot on for it to work. Anything less than exact will yield an unsatisfactory fit. I am lucky to not have been valves or worse.

Since you say you received poor instructions, maybe you could tell us where you got them from?

You know...a post that might help someone.

Why does it take two people?

Thanks

It either takes two people or three hands which most people do not have. LOL. It takes three wrenches, one to hold the pushrod from turning, one to turn the adjusting screw, and one to tighten the lock nut. It can be done with two hands if you work it right though. Just easier with three.

When adjusted mine, I watched the rod to make sure it wasn't turning when I locked the 2 nuts together. I kinda turned them both the same amount at the same time if that makes sense.

OK, I get it, but I never though of a second person..

I'm a leftie, position the wrench holding the rod on the right, adjust the rod and then move the wrench for the adjuster so that it is relatively even with the one holding the rod, that way I can hold them both in my right hand. Then tighten the jam nut with my left.

You odd ball righties will have to switch things around..

Lefties have to stand on their heads to turn the jam nut in the right direction after reading adjusting instructions.

LOL..

after reading adjusting instructions
I guess the righties can't read because they have to start on the left side of the page, you all should move to China where they start on the other side. They drive on the wrong side of the road over there anyways, and take your shirts with the pocket on the wrong side with ya....

hehehe...

Default instructions from Andrews

I had instructions from Andrews with the product.
The second person is to watch the piston to make sure you are at TDC on combustion cycle when the nut is secured.
