Engine oil in primary

The oil leaking past the check valve would make the seal leak a whole lot worse. I think I would get the oil out of the crankcase and replace everything with proper amount of oil and see if it is still leaking into the primary. If it is still leaking into it then I would replace the seal. Lots of bikes will leak past the check valve when sitting for a few months without riding.

Ok test running sounds like a plan. I'm waiting on a new clutch, should be in this week. It will have to be a run in the shop though still 3 ft of snow here, supposed to warm up this weekend finally.
