Out of curiosity what Kind of damage, and will this be obvious to me if the damage has been done already?

That's going to be a long month if it's sitting in your garage

What happens first is pieces of the INA bearing wipes out the oil pump, resulting in no oil pressure, and on and on.

Yeah, Bad Things Happen when that bearing goes out, so best to replace it.

I've been to Brunei Bay. It was hot. We laid up a ship there in the mid 80's. Flew home to Texas, which took about 70 hours.

Don't forget the tool to replace the cam bearing. Order a James cam swap gasket set, comes with a cam cover bushing too.

My '99 needed very little. Rocker box gaskets. Fuel lines and vacuum lines. Rebuild carb and POR15 the tanks. Front master cylinder gasket. That's about it.

I ended up spending a ton giving it things that it didn't need.

Noted re thecam swap gasket set. Im already compiling a list of what I think it needs and will try to ask for feedback at some point.

Ive also started a small list of what it DOESNT need too lol, which at the moment looks unhealthy for my bank balance
