Default FXR swingarm years?

Anybody know what years the rear swingarms fit on FXR's? Did they change at all? I may have damaged mine on my 1990, so I need to find out what will work as a replacement if I cant clean up and fix mine. Thanks!

PS: Dont half-*** it when checking/setting bearing end play in the rear wheel...

Your 1990 swingarm part number is 47820-81A, so I suspect they are unchanged, except possibly the very late special builds.

Awesome, I have a bead on a few older ones. I thought it was 47544-85?

That's the correct number for the Touring frame. Probably very similar to look at, but I don't know the actual differences.

Get a panhead swingarm. I think the round ones look so much better than the stock ones. It may not have all the mounting points you may need.

Yes, certainly up to 1990, probably a little later as well.

The shock mounts will be too far forward!

I fitted a later spec swingarm to my 1990 bike, which is sturdier than the open ended tube of the original. Others have also done it, but I wrote up my experiences here. It includes all the warts and snags, but should give a clearer run for someone starting from scratch.
