Well thinking of doing a cam upgrade , I have a 98 roadglide stock ,just looking for little more power . should it be evz7 or the s&s 510v cam ..thanks
You will probably find the EV27 is the most popular cam in here. I also had one on my Glide, as one of the first upgrades I did to it. I must admit today I would probably try an EV13 as an alternative, as it is said to be better for a loaded bagger. Can't comment on the S&S, although I have a 585 these days in my 107"!
Really? I was actually going to use stock ones myself, sure coulda saved couple hundred bucks! Everyone said use adjustable ones,so I am...
As I said adjustable ones are just a convenience nothing more.
They can also come loose (do you really want the whole story?).
If you haven't gotten rid or destroyed your stock ones I would recommend putting them back in and either saving the adjustables for an emergency or selling them and getting your money back.
I just put a Comp Cams EV3010 in my EVO, specs near mirror the Andrews EV27 and it runs awesome !! Plus it picked up 15 psi per hole in compression with the intake opening sooner and opening a tad bit further. Way better than the lame stock N cam from harley. also installed Screamin Eagle easy install push rods.
