On the bars, I ended up moving my bars up some because they pinned my legs against the tank when turning sharp and feet on the floor boards, potential problems
Wow, just WOW. I just picked up a 96 flht and would love it to look 1/2 as good when im done. Good old evo motor and has held up pretty well. I cant believe how nice the paint and chrome has held up for almost 100k miles. you have a beauty, im on a budget but with some work i will ride with pride. Glad to see an evo forum. I like older stuff. Classics. Nice job man.
Dang Dude, looks bomb! How many miles on her? Any major motor work? I just bought one of her sisters a couple months back with only 11k miles on her. Love these bikes!

Thanks dude.18,000km on her which is about 11,000 miles. No motor work on her yet, thats the next phase. Only put a Mikuni carb and arlen ness big sucker air cleaner kit and a screaming eagle ignition module and coil in her
so far.

Thanks cpbedor. Really dig what you done with your 96 Special. How are you finding that 21 inch wheel? I have been debating to go 21 up front, but have read that DB tires stopped doing whitewall motorcycle tyres. I dont want to invest in a 21 inch wheel if i cant get a good quality WW tyre for it. Don't really wanna go down the Vee Rubber way for front tyre.

Thanks, I don't blame you for staying away from Vee Rubber. I LOVE the 21. It rides great and certainly turns a few heads. Kind of pissy to get under the fender but I wouldn't change it for a minute. I did not hear that DB is no longer doing them but when I got mine Tab told me he was opening up his own shop and that he would email me as soon as he did.

I have emailed db tires a few times a few months ago and received no replies. Then read in one of the threads here that Tab stopped doing them .
