Default Crankcase vent leak???

1996 evo flht. The crankcase is vented to a hose under the frame, it leaks a drop of oil every now and then, i don't want to mess up my friends driveway. Is there a filter i can put on the hose that will stop the drip??? Nothing fancy, maybe something from the auto store...

You really don't want to stop up your crank case vent!!!!!!
That oil vapor has to go somewhere. It is best to let it on out.

You could put a small cup under it when you park in your friends driveway.
Or perhaps a small drain pan.

I would think even a filter would fill up with oil over time and then drip anyway.

Or hook it back up the way the factory did it. A 96 is a top breather and should vent through the bolts mounting the air cleaner backing plate. OE is to run the vent hoses to the air cleaner. I haven't noticed any ill effects from burning the oil mist.

You could install a catch can, and drain it every now and then.

I made one out of pvc for the sporty and it's tywrapped to the frame under the bike out of sight.
You can make it vertical or horizontal.
All that's needed is a inlet, vent(don't need a filter like most show) and a drain,
a peice of pot srubber can be used for a baffle for the vent, but not absolutly needed.
Barbs can be used,
or drill the holes for a snugg fit and insert vent hoses about a 1/2",
if inserting hoses without barbs, cut them on an angle to make sure they don't butt against the inside and restict flow.
A petcock can be used for a drain or just a 1/8 pipe plug.
Painted it black to disappear under the bike.

here's a sketch of the one I made

I went to local Harley Davidson dealer and believe it or not they actually had a breather that was made just for the issue? And it was only $10.00

And when the breather gets saturated with oil, where does it go?
