I have an 89 FLHS and my predicament is a broken axle adjuster, would of been easy to just remove the axle slide broke adjuster out but here's where it sucks>>someone welded extender adjuster "blocks" inside of the swing arm thus blocking the passage of removing the broken adjuster, not only welded bu a tight fit, carefully took a Dremel to it but can't get a full cut of weld, any ideas and also ideas of why someone would even install these and even further why weld them, thanks for any and all input.
If its waht I think it is then you're pretty much screwed. Don't mess with the swingarm, welding and cutting, they don't hold up well to that sorta thing.
I would get a second hand swingarm if it was mine because I like to ride without worrying about stuff like swingarms falling apart.
It is just spot welded at the bottom,a really tight fit also, deff not going to damage swing arm,and failure is not an option,it will come out, lol, will fiddle more with it today, had to walk away from it last night>>>>STRESSED :# so hopefully will get some enlightenment today!
Hard to find locally, but Amazon carries them. I have chewed up more 304 stainless with one of these than most people will ever see. It would get in there and chew out that weld.
