Default Doomsday machine.

I'm riding a 1994 FLSTC for 3 years now,and nothing but bad luck,so far.
I had everything..from flat tire to be out of gas in the middle of nowhere.

Now..latest is someone hit my front fender causing damage beyond repair.
I have the damage covered by his insurance and waiting for the money.
But..always..but..how to replace a 1994 two tone fender?
Color is silver/blue..and it is like a needle in the haystack to find one.

I don't know what to do to make my old Heritage shine again.
Any suggestions are very welcome.
Thank you.

Greetz,

Find the right fender and have it painted by professionals. They can match it up. You may have to source if from over here, as I doubt there are that many extra fenders floating around .NL.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. Chin up old chap!

I have a 2003 front fender on my 1990 bike, although I have repainted the entire bike! If you have the deep front Glide-style fender then any from the early 80s up to today will fit, you simply have to paint to match as the good Dr. says.

Of course you could always use this as the excuse to repaint yours as well, in any scheme you wish.....

Actually, GR, the FL Softail front fender is different from the fender on your FLHS or other rubber mount dressers. The mounting points are different, and the Softail fender has "fender" behind the rear trim piece.

I'm not saying one can't be made to work in place of the other, but it's something to keep in mind.

I've checked my facts now and the front fender is indeed a different #59129-86 (looks the same), compared with the touring bikes! However that number was used up until 03, although I suspect later models will also fit. So the opportunities should be there, although hoping to find one in the correct colours is being very optimistic!

Again, check Pinwall and RSI on eBay. Many of the bikes they part out have the factory original paint schemes and are in great shape. If you don't see what you need, call or email them and tell them what you need.

thank you all for the reply.
A little late comment but I've been away RIDING.
It seems I have no insurance pay because the thing happened in France.
I have the greencard all filled out but my insurance does'nt cover it..no allrisk.
So..it will be on my own costs.
I found a perfect replacement for about 150 u.s dollars..but bold..nothing like the original fender..in shape with all the holes predrilled yes..but that's it.
No info about the materials used either..metal..polyester etc..
If in metal I could have it chromed as a last resort.
Other than that I'm forced to do some paintjob.

Sorry for whining about all this..but I love to have my motorsickle restored.
The way it wazzz.
Because I truly love the bike..So far..the engine NEVER let me down..old EVO.
Rock solid!
Any opinions still welcome.
Thank you.
Jelly.
