quiet as a mouse (amazing what a non-cracked piston will do for the ambient noise)
shes running *safe* for now. gotta play with the jetting/timing a bit (more sluggish down low, probably too large a pilot jet...27.5 in there right now)
a bit more decel popping too, could be because I went with the wide open endcap on the supertrapp for now.
lastly, gotta recheck torque on my riser clamp. seems like she had enough torque to damned near pull me off the seat, and pulled the bars back about an inch or so from where they were lol
either way, i'm back on 2 wheels, and you'd need a chainsaw to wipe the grin off my face
still need to do some hard looking at an oil cooler.
my temp gauge will read hotter than most (its tapped into the oil filter mount, so its seeing temperature AS the oil comes out of the engine). went for a ~1hr ride, temps got up to ~ 250F in city, steadied around 225-235 on the highway. its only ~ 70F out right now though (we see swings from -20 to 110F in new england)

I have had good luck with my Jagg 6 core that mounts to one of the frame down tubes.
The other day it was in the 90's and oil temp only made it up to 170.
did another 100ish miles today....everything felt great. quick spin earlier to get her warm, and do an oil change, checked the plugs (looked good, nice even tan color with no buildups), then rode all afternoon with a local buddy.
and then
****mylife.
blew a head gasket on the rear cylinder. did the stupid move and babied it home the last couple miles (mostly downhill luckily), and got it into the garage. blew on the highway (right by my offramp thank god), recognized it instantly. 3rd gear ~ 3800-4000rpm, maybe 1/4-1/2 throttle (was just starting to get on it to merge)
about a 2" section of HG missing right behind the pushrod tubes. engine was WAY to warm to even contemplate starting to tear into it tonight, so i'll head to the local indy in the AM to get another head/base/rocker gasket, and try again
im beginning to wonder if I should beg someone to buy me a gremlin bell
