Sorry for the spelling and grammar, at work and busy when I sent this earlier!
I thought I'd share this. I left for work on my 97flht (I love this bike) barely made the end of my street when it started breaking up - popping through the carb and backfiring through the pipes at the same time. Barely made it home and in the shed. Got on my 1998 flhtcui and got to work a few minutes late thank to the mm injection system needing to warm up for a while before it will slow idle.
Got home from work and pulled the plugs on the '97 and the front wire broke right away, plugs look ok, the back one kind of filed, but no more than usual. Then pulled the seat to check the battery connection and the seat retaining nut fell out. I decided that I would stop for the night, went to pull the 98 flhtcui in the shed and the battery was dead. This morning I got out early, swapped the battery from the '97 to the '98 and headed for work.
