if you can possibly afford it, go buy the bike and make your dad happy. leave it just like it is and ride it every time you go to visit him. life is way too short not to do this for your dad, and you will feel good too.
Well one things for sure. Life's too short then you die!
Your Dad needs you to buy it so suck it up and do it...
Losing the time with you for whatever the reason is probably part of the issue (Going through it now with my Son). You are his pride and joy (more then likely) so make him happy it's only money and lord knows you can't take it with you...
BTW, the pics are kinda small for my old failing eyes, but it does look nice from what I CAN see......
Sorry, traildog. I loaded them from photobucket. I thought they would be bigger. My dad, as mentioned has drooled..........looked at itt several times, he says it is in like new condition.

well if Dad alreadt bought the trailer for ya , Go buy the bike , MOm will be 92 in a few weeks ,& a about 5 years back she ask my Brother to take her for a ride said she had not been on a bike since ww11 well we told her that was wrong cause we took her for a ride back in 1966 on our bikes then she said well lets get going its been to darn again , well she got her 100 mile long on the back of my brothers ultar classic & she just kicked back & enjoyed the ride then call me long distance & said Now she know why we both have riden for so many years B-)
OMG, it's a custom travel trailer that matches the bike. From your original post, I was thinking an enclosed or just a regular one to pull the bike with. Borrow the money if you have to, but go get that bike! Is your Dad in good enough health to get on it, or has he hinted to traveling? I'm starting to think you and he on it going somewhere???
