Bungo if you are going to replace the frame I suggest you cut off the neck (part with the vin) and send it back to Harley.

It may cost more but it would save you a lot of hassles re-titling your bike.

At the moment considering a full frame OR a rear "section" inc. both L & R S/Arm bottom crossmember and crossmember/panel that goes between
45 degree angled frame tubes from S/Arm mounts to seat top rails.
Shipping for "section" would cost a lot less. Bungo

Talk about turning the clock back. Went to see a 60s rock show last night in the city theatre. Mark Wynter was headlining. Spoke to him after the show to remind him that last time I saw him was in Glasgow(Scotland) in 1961.
He was touring with Gary US Bonds,Johnnie Burnett and others.
He remembered it well after all these years.
Apologies...I should be talking HD but I couldnt resist adding this ancient info. Bungo.

You lucky bandit!.
As for the 91 Frame... I have had some luck and managed to grab a 91 evo frame rear "section" on ebay USA.
It includes S/Arm mounts and the various tube sections so that it can all be welded as one to the existing stuff.
What a relief. Good ol US of A. Hope this isnt some kind of dream. Will have to see the section here on my doorstep to believe it.
Thanks again for all help received on the forum. Bungo

Glad it worked out for you Bill. Chasing the rust on your old frame sounded sketchy.
