Default Silly Front Fork Question

Rebuilding a 1984 FXR and time to put the springs back in the forks, but never noticed how they came out. Does the tightly coiled end belong in the top or bottom of the tube, my manual doesn't say and the picture is not clear enough.
Thanks in advance!

Tighter coils to the bottom but it doesn't actually matter. You have aftermarket fork springs as OEM are not progressively wound.
