Default Speedo options

My speedo is toast. My avc still works, and I'd like to keep it so my drive unit is taken. Any ideas? I've read where someone used a bicycle speedo. A buddy said "don't do that", I guess he's prejudice or something. I guess if I could mount it on the rear wheel where it would be hidden it would be ok, but I don't think the wire would be long enough. Thoughts?

Cool! Are talking about just the speedo unit, or the panel?

I have the panel but I pulled the tach out of it so I don't have that but I have that whole panel and you could transplant your tach into it.

Vapour do a speedo kit for off-road bikes, they work well on custom builds too. I recently put on a chopper for one of our friendly local 81's.

We have discussed rebuilding speedos in the past in here. I'm sure there is a business somewhere that may be able to fix yours.
