replaced my front calipers with 6 piston harrisons and 13 " floating discs, brakes now function as intended, had to use them in anger once, had I not upgraded I'd either be pushing up daisies or on a permanent diet of hospital food

If I get the time, and my back isn't still hurting, I may go over to the storage unit and pull the calipers off. Bring them home and rebuild them 'over the winter'.

How about rebuilding the front master cylinder? From what the FSM states, that doesn't look like a difficult project either. Think after 21 years, it might need it? No leaks now, hate to mess with stuff that appears to be working fine.

If it was me, I would rebuild them all. The reason they are sticking most likely is a littlecrap/corrosion caused by old brake fluid. That being said if the calipers are fouled because of the fluid the master cylinder will be too, however it will take longer because it doesn't get as hot. Cheap insurance and you get to know your baby just a little bit more.

This bike is kinda like my wife: Been around forever, too expensive to replace, and too old to modify...

It is also possible that the sticking MAY be caused by the master cylinder, in which case you'll want to check that, too.

FWIW, I change my brake fluid every year. Not a bad idea if you're keeping the bike "forever".
